This past weekend I held: Cooking in English-Hanukkah Cooking class.
We made a Vegan Mushroom Stew, Vegan Borscht, Potato Latkes, and Apple Strudel.
It was a lot of hard work to grate the potatoes but in the end it really paid off and we were all able to enjoy delicious latkes with apple sauce.
We used phyllo dough to make the Apple Strudel. Many students were surprised by how thin and paper-like the phyllo dough was. But after layering the sheets of phyllo dough and adding delicious spicy apples to it, it became a wonderful dessert.
My favorite part with this wonderful drawing that I received :
(By the way, it says “Happy Hanukkah” in Japanese!) Thank you A-chan!
